I come from software development and built a software company myself. What is happening in this industry right now, I have not seen in 30 years.

Accenture measures up to 55% less development time. Projects that used to keep a team busy for months are now built by a single developer with AI support in weeks. These are not lab results — this is everyday reality in the industry.

AI agents don't just write code — they test it, find bugs, correct themselves, and deliver a finished result. This works because software has something most other business functions lack: built-in quality control. Code runs or it doesn't.

And this exact principle extends beyond software. Wherever tasks are clearly definable and outcomes are verifiable — data reconciliation, document review, structured analysis — AI agents already deliver strong results. The next logical step after software is repetitive work with a clear objective.
